I’m sitting here staring out of my window watching the trees bend in nature’s yoga poses. Scary indeed but we still have power! If you’re one of my lovely readers on the East Coast, I hope that you are also hunkered down and staying safe.
I picked up this darling little table from a client who wanted it to match the side table I just recently posted about.
It was painted avocado green, which wasn’t working for her. I painted it in the same navy blue chalk paint I made by hand.
After two coats, I clear waxed and then dark waxed it. I skipped the sanding and distressing part on this one because I didn’t want this particular green to come through. It could have provided an awesome patina but it’s not what my client wanted.
It’s a lovely piece to place next to a couch or chair. You could also put this table under a piece of art to anchor it like I have staged here. It’s not to scale with my Chicago canvas but you get the idea.
Isn’t the detail on the side just delightful?
I think I’ll grab one of those Elle Decors and a cup of tea and settle in for what’s sure to be a sleepless night. Stay dry everyone!
