My elderly friend, GiGi, recently moved from her home of 50 years to a retirement community. I try and help her at least once a week with daily tasks. I was helping her clean out her garage when I saw this piece of wood leaning against the wall. Her husband used to love frames and matting them. He passed away and left his projects behind in the garage. I immediately imagined making a headboard for my bed and had to have it! Of course she looked at me like I was crazy when I told her I wanted this old piece of wood!

  1. Meg, you are totally inspiring me… I lay in bed at night thinking of “NEW” idea’s for my home.
Going out this weekend to Renningers Antique market in Mt. Dora. Hoping to find some treasures : )

I am going to take pictures of objects that represent letters to form the word LOVE. I will print them out in Black and White, frame each one and hang them in my bedroom. Unless you have a more creative idea on how to display them?! ; )

Can’t wait to see more of your ideas!

  2. I am also addicted to chalk paint. It is a sense of accomplishment to see everything you have changed from trash to treasure. Great job, I enjoyed looking at your beautiful projects 🙂
